Cortland Precision Tropic Plus fly lines
The Precision Tropic Plus Floating model is a weight-forward line with a braided mono core and a hard outer finish
Apr 30, 2008

Cortland has beefed up its popular line of Precision Tropic Plus fly lines with the addition of two new floating models: an all-purpose saltwater line and a floating line designed for tarpon.

The Precision Tropic Plus Floating model is a weight-forward line with a braided mono core and a hard outer finish. Available  in sizes 6 through 12, the all-purpose line should fit many applications, and at 27 feet, the head taper is longer than many other lines for increased casting distance and accuracy.

Cortland's Precision Tropic Plus Tarpon Floating line has an 18-foot head and a 3-foot front taper designed for quick deliveries. Available in WF 10 to 12, it has a pale aqua-green color and boasts a special "step taper" section between the back taper and running line that Cortland says prevents hinging with more line in the air.

Both lines have an MSRP of $65. www.cortlandline.com.
