Part of the Hewes/Maverick family, Pathfinder Boats is introducing the new Pathfinder 2400 Tournament Edition to complement its popular 2200 Tournament Edition. However, the 2400 features a much larger cockpit, a bigger casting deck and broader running areas that better fit the needs of hard-core anglers.
The designers at Pathfinder devised this boat to offer total versatility in both open water and backcountry fishing while still providing a high degree of comfort and ample storage space. It was built on the proven hull of the previous 2400, but improvements in its layout offer new amenities, including a raised aft casting deck with a built-in 40-gallon center livewell.
The console and seat were re-engineered to create more deck space so anglers can move around the boat when casting to and fighting fish. This also permitted Pathfinder to expand on some of the more popular features of the 2200 TE. For

example, the leaning post/bench seat now has room underneath for a cooler. The forward deck is longer, offering increased casting space, and includes a recessed section that provides a slight break from the wind for fly lines that are stripped onto it. The deck also incorporates a 15-gallon livewell, a center storage compartment and a separate anchor locker. In addition, the company expanded the port and starboard rod boxes to include tubes that accommodates up to six rods each, including one 9-foot fly rod per side.
Other standard features on the 2400 TE include an in-deck cast-net locker, gunwale-mounted rod holders, stainless-steel cup holders, a hydraulic jack plate with a blinker-style switch, and a water-pressure gauge. Stainless-steel rub rail inserts are now standard on all Pathfinder models. The port aft compartment is also a 40-gallon live/release well, and a saltwater washdown system comes standard on this model.
Just under 24 feet in length with a 102-inch beam, this boat draws only 12 inches of water and can easily handle engines as large as 300 hp. Despite its overall length, it's still a nimble boat capable of speeds up to nearly 60 mph with a 250-hp engine.
